Southbound 400

The Race

Southbound 400 is a 400-mile team relay stage race from Canada to New York City along the Empire State Trail. For the second year of the race, nine 8-person teams will compete over three days and camp overnight together at each stage's finish. Several New York City-based teams will return to the field this year along with new teams from across the country.

Reflective Safety Vest

The inaugural Southbound 400 served as the testing ground for the first prototype of the MILER RUNNING reflective safety vest. The vest features 360-degree 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflectivity, featherweight breathable mesh and three pockets--now available for the public to purchase in Hi-Vis Yellow and Silver colorways. For this year’s race, the vest was updated and customized with branded reflective graphics made exclusively for race participants.
